Herringbone cotton is used for the upper. It is more durable than regular twill or canvas, and its wrinkle-resistant and resilient properties are the reason why it is used in many military items. A thick three-dimensional toe cap and a wooden shape with a narrower arch than usual are used to improve the fit. The thick sole also improves cushioning. The crimping of the upper and sole is the same as the original vulcanizing method. The advantage of this manufacturing method is that vintage sneakers can still be used today without being affected by hydrolysis. In order to reduce sportiness, all stitches are sewn in the same color as the fabric, and stripes on the rubber part are also eliminated. The color of polished rubber and the texture of military herringbone combine to create a rugged and masculine finish.
