This 13.5oz selvedge denim is woven on Toyota Industries' oldest G3 loom with warp thread number 7 and weft thread number 6. By weaving a grey weft thread, which goes well with indigo, into the weft thread, combined with the dark indigo on the front, it has a very deep colour.
It is made with a rough texture created by a power loom, recreating the texture produced in the olden days. It is finished with a raw fabric finish, which causes pilling and twisting the more it is used.
The front features curved pockets. Rivet reinforcement is applied to areas that are likely to be subjected to stress.
The front opening uses a cam-lock square Gripper Zipper, which locks the slider when the zipper is closed. This is the only zipper fly model among the standard denim items.
The sewing thread is cotton thread (katan thread). You can enjoy the changes that occur over time, such as puckering and sun fading.
The triple-stitched seams are based on the store brand's vintage painter pants. The color of the bobbin thread has also been changed. The result is a tough look that is appropriate for workwear that requires durability.
The back pockets are round and reinforced with bar tacks. There is no hammer loop. The tool pocket is also a simple one-pocket, making these painter pants highly versatile.
