The USN N-1 was created based on the concept of the commercial version sold to civilians.
The N-1, Trophy Clothing's signature piece, has been renewed and is now available for this season.
The outer shell is made of high-density jungle cloth that is windproof and water-repellent.
The outer fabric, which features ridges on the surface, is made with weft threads woven to the maximum extent possible, making it highly dense and providing excellent cold protection and heat retention.
The fabric has been given a one-wash treatment to remove any stiffness and to remove any puckering.
The lining is made of alpaca wool all the way up to the cuffs, making it extremely warm and comfortable against the skin.
Based on a vintage N-1 deck jacket, this item was made in Takanoguchi, a region famous for its boa and fur.
The underarm area on the back is made of poplin fabric to reduce thickness and is wider than usual.
The jacket incorporates details from the early N-1, with alpaca even around the sleeve ribbing.
The ribbing is made of 100% wool ring ribbing commissioned from a long-established factory founded in 1948.
The leather trim on the pocket openings is a design seen on car coats and ranch jackets from the 1930s.
In addition to being decorative, it also serves a reinforcing purpose and is an iconic design detail unique to Trophy N-1.
There is a drawstring at the hem and metal fasteners at the ends.
The hem is tightened to prevent cold air from entering.
The collar has a chin strap, so you can protect yourself from the cold wind by standing up the collar and fastening the strap.
The TALON zipper has a leather pull tab.
The slider is easy to operate even when wearing gloves.
