During the Vietnam War in the 1960s, the Tropical Combat Uniform, commonly known as Jungle Fatigue, was adopted by the US Army as a jacket for use in hot, rainy and humid subtropical regions.
Among them, the 1st type was only used for about one year from 1963 to 1964, and is rare even in the vintage market. It is based on the design and has been updated in the Trophy style.
Available in two colors: vintage-inspired olive drab and black, typical of trophy military items.
Cotton poplin mixed with uneven yarns is characterized by its unique crispness and coolness.
The lightweight, quick-drying cotton poplin fabric is perfect for Japan's climate.
It has been bio-washed, and puckering is visible around the stitching.
With repeated wearing and washing, the attractive look unique to vintage military wear will deepen even more.
The diagonal pockets with glossy exposed buttons are a design detail unique to 1st.
The epaulets have been removed and the balance between the length and width of the garment has been resized.
There is no stretch between the chest pocket and waist pocket, which is typical of vintage items, giving it a sophisticated impression.
It also retains details from the original model, such as no back yoke and an adjustable tab at the waist.
Although they are not visible when worn, it also has fine details such as a hanger loop, a front flap, and drain holes for water removal in case of rain.
