This is a "Hoodie Sweatshirt" featuring a Block Logo drawn by Nuts Art Works on the front.
It was made on an old-fashioned hanging knitting machine, of which very few remain.
Like the Freedom Sleeve Sweatshirt / Block Logo Freedom Sleeve Sweatshirt , this item is made using 14.5oz heavyweight fleece on an old-fashioned hanging knitting machine that can only be made in Wakayama, where it is produced.
Since the yarn can be knitted at low tension without changing its shape, the fabric is fluffy and has a good amount of kickback.
The outer thread is made of dry-touch air-spun yarn.
It has a dry touch and a dense, crisp texture.
The back thread is the exact opposite of the front thread, made from hand-picked long-staple cotton from Zimbabwe that is extremely soft and pleasant to the touch.
Among these, we use strong twisted uneven yarn made from brown cotton, which has a low yield.
The back side is also brushed using one of the few brushing machines that can process the round body of the garment, in the same process as vintage sweatshirts.
The fabric is soft and comfortable to the touch, and gives off a sense of warmth.
The freedom sleeves, which are set in an S-shape from the shoulder to the armpit, are a functional detail designed to ensure freedom of movement.
There are no underarm seams, allowing for greater freedom of movement.
However, because it is difficult to sew and unsuitable for mass production, it is a vintage detail that has disappeared over time.
The sides are also rounded with no seams or stitching. The sewing is done with a three-needle front stitch.
The neck is finished with a sturdy binder and has a double V-neck design that makes it difficult to lose its shape and easy to wear.
Recessed gussets at front and back provide elastic reinforcement at the neckline and help keep sweat out.
