The "MONOCHROME" Level 7 Happy Suit is based on the layered clothing system ( extreme cold weather clothing system) devised by the US military for activities in cold climates.
The nickname "Happy Suit" is an inappropriate nickname for military wear, and it comes from the fact that the early Level 7 lots had a smiley face on the label.
The outer shell is made of 3 - layer ripstop nylon with high water resistance, high breathability and wind resistance. It prevents rain and wind from penetrating into the padding. Ripstop was originally developed as a parachute fabric for the US military during WWII , and is a highly functional material that is lightweight yet strong enough to prevent fraying and tearing.
The front uses a waterproof YKK zipper, so you don't have to worry about sudden rain.
The most distinctive feature of this jacket is the filling, which is made of ultra-fine microfiber material "Primaloft Gold®" developed by ALBANY at the request of the U.S. military. It is as light and warm as down, but its water-repellent properties mean that it does not lose its insulation even in the rain, and it retains 98% of its warmth even when wet.
The hood can be easily removed with a zipper, making it suitable for a variety of situations.
The cuffs are also adjustable with Velcro to protect you from the wind and rain.
The “MONOCHROME” logo is placed on the back.
The pocket has a flap and a waterproof zipper so you don't have to worry about items falling out.
The drawstrings and cord stoppers are made by ITW , a company that supplies the US military special forces.
The inner pocket is large enough to easily fit a novel, which is also very useful.

"MONOCHROME" is made one size larger than the regular line, so it can be worn loosely.
