In the early 1950s, workwear, born out of necessity as a tool for workers, was widely recognized as fashion and accepted by society. This piece was inspired by the epoch-making backdrop of that era.
As I introduced in my blog a few days ago, this 40's style work coverall is made by the new Dirt Denim, which has had its colour slightly tweaked from a slightly darker indigo to an oxidized indigo blue.
It has wide armholes and an A-line silhouette that naturally widens towards the hem.
Like Lot. 1606W/Knee Standard Dirt Denin , each part is sewn with sturdy triple stitching.
The bottom of the pocket, which is subject to stress, is reinforced with a patch on the back.
It has large waist pockets that are typical of workwear.
This is a tradition from the good old days when buttons were removed before washing clothes to avoid damaging them.
We make our own original change buttons.
The inner pocket is made of off-white herringbone fabric.
Even the smallest details have been considered, such as the Box Logo name on the chest.
