This piece is based on a 1940s leather sports jacket and is made from original horsehide.
-Trophy Genuine Horsehide-
Saddle leather, which is rare among horse leather, is used, thinned to 1.3 mm.
The raw hide is coated with oil and then thinned to 1.3mm, giving it a supple texture.
Because horsehide is more prone to small scratches than cowhide, it is common to hide scuffs and scratches with chrome tanning, but this top-quality horsehide is made by deliberately selecting leather that is close to its natural finish and finishing it with traditional full vegetable tanning to give it a natural look.
For both colors, the base is dyed brown and then only the surface of the leather is dyed.
This tannin tanning hill dyeing method is considered to be the oldest technique.
The wide armholes give the impression of a good old American leather jacket, but are adjusted so that it doesn't look too unfashionable.
It is possible to layer it with thick innerwear such as sweatshirts and knitwear, or with a shirt and vest.
The cuffs are equipped with hidden wool ribbing.
