The B-9 was made for soldiers working in the extreme cold of midwinter.
In the 1940s, It is said that it was made with down lining due to the shortage of leather. (-10℃ to -30℃) jacket.

The outer shell is made of Ventile cotton, a fabric developed for military uniforms for pilots during World War II.
Ventile is a fabric woven at an extremely high density, which makes it resistant to the penetration of water and wind, despite being 100% cotton.

Down is used for the lining.
